The thing about new revelations and new ideas is they unlock excitement. Your heart leaps at the dream and the vision of what’s possible.
It’s when we put hand to the plow, roll up our sleeves, and get to work that the excitement begins to fade. We put too much trust in how we feel. We struggle with work and waiting.
Social media has a way of magnifying instant gratification. If it doesn’t come to fruition within our accepted timeframe, then we feel we’ve failed and give up.
We rob ourselves of the process, the grit, the digging deep, and learning to enjoy the journey. We are easily distracted and defeated. We compare our journey to others and are easily discouraged.
We rob the world of what we have to offer it because we weren’t steadfast.
God has gifted each of us with unique talents, skills, and personalities. It’s up to us to patiently nurture and cultivate those gifts, then release them to the world. No matter how long it takes.
Trust God. Trust the process. Trust the revelation.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. -1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)
