The Sacred Collective

Sometimes I think parts of me are broken. I’ll engage with people or see them on social media and admire their casual, carefree personality, loving how much joy they bring.

And I used to believe something was wrong with me because I didn’t have that charisma, no matter how hard I tried.

But the truth is, God has created each of us uniquely for a purpose. He didn’t make a mistake when he made me a more contemplative person, because we need all the personalities, and mine so happens to reach inside deep and feel things deep and weep for the world.

God has placed this glorious purpose on me to pray for people and meet them in their deepest needs and hardest seasons, offering encouragement, inspiration, and wisdom.

I had a dear woman approach me in church a couple of months ago and say, “Just seeing your face brings me such encouragement!” I was taken aback. I didn’t realize I had such an impact on this woman! It was encouraging to me!

God uniquely created you for a purpose, too. You are able to reach people others cannot. You are created in the image of a God who has infused Himself into every single one of us in some way.

Together, we make up the body. We carry into the world a hope like no other and we bring it in all kinds of ways. And sometimes we don’t even know it.
