The Sacred Collective

by Christin Slade

For women who desire direction, discipline, and discipleship as they live a life devoted to Jesus.

Devotion is Discipline

You see her. The woman you long to become. The confidence. The energy. The love she pours out because Jesus pours in.

But it’s not a matter of sheer willpower. It’s about surrendering your will. It’s about discipline and tiny habits that stack up.

How can we create a life that serves us so we can serve others?

We keep the promises we make to ourselves. When we say we’re going to get healthy, we do what needs to be done. We show up at the gym, we eat nourishing food, and we go to bed at a decent hour. We partner with the Lord to walk with us.

We say we want to go deeper in our walk with Jesus, but need to make the space and time and show up for it. Cut out the distractions and truly focus.

We lean on the Lord when we’re weak. What does that look like? It looks like showing up even when we don’t want to. Those are the days that matter most. They make or break our discipline.

We take the first step in faith, and He meets us there. Discipline cannot be done on our own. It’s the Lord who empowers us. When we try to walk in our own strength, we fail.

So when you say you want to be the kind of person who knows God through His Word or has the energy and focus to serve her family, you need to show up in the places to make that happen.

Wake up for sacred mornings. Get to the gym. Cook your own food. Be who God has called you to be by simply showing up.

xoxo,
Christin
